"Since her election to the State House in 2004, Senator Flores has always been a socially responsible official and we are very pleased she has been named as a majority whip in the Florida State Senate, she will certainly be an asset to this deliberative body in Tallahassee and will bring a fresh and unique perspective to the challenging issues facing Florida's families", stated Anthony Verdugo, Founder and Executive Director, Christian Family Coalition.
Flores, who was elected to the Senate last week, served as deputy majority leader during her three terms in the House. Flores represents part of Miami-Dade County.
“Senator Flores brings enthusiasm and a strong grasp of policy issues to this assignment,” said Haridopolos. “She’ll do an outstanding job keeping majority senators informed on issues and ensuring we have the needed votes to pass legislation.”
