Key Christian Family Coalition (CFC) Bills up for Committee Hearings!
MIAMI-Today, the Christian Family Coalition (CFC), Florida's premier human rights and social justice organization announced that this week two key bills, Religious Equality (Freedom to Pray) and Women's Rights, will be heard by the House Judiciary and the Senate Health Regulation committees this week!
"This is the final week of committee meetings, thus, it is our last chance to get these proposals heard before they go straight to the full House and Senate for a final vote," stated Anthony Verdugo, Founder and Executive Director, Christian Family Coalition (CFC), "these bills provide an important measure of protection for religious equality and women's rights", concluded Verdugo.
The Religious Equality (Freedom to Pray) bill, allows students to initiate and lead a prayer during school assemblies, while the Women's Rights bill allows women a window of 24-hours to decide whether or not they want to get an abortion, as well as prohibiting the heinous procedure of partial-birth abortion and providing full legal rights to children who survive an abortion in Florida.
